New Season: A Guide to Menswear Trends for Spring 2026
Words by Tony Wilkes
This season, menswear is all about ease. The latest arrivals offer a free and easy serenity, whether in the form of light, airy neutrals or relaxed, lounge cuts – easy to like and easier to wear. Below, we select the three men’s to know for Spring/Summer 2026, and the brands to have on your radar during fashion’s next chapter.
Lounge Attitude
The mood for tailoring this season? Relaxed, luxuriant and elegantly loose. Nodding to the dapper lounge suits of the 19th century, Amiri, Dunhill and Emporio Armani offered sumptuous smoking jackets with smart shawl collars, tied at the waist like a robe. One step further, you’ll also find pieces resembling nightwear, whether a smart printed dressing gown worn with a tie, or a matching pyjama set worn like a suit. This season, the tailoring message is clear: kick back, spread out and relax.
Lighten Up
It’s not only the days getting lighter this season. Winter’s dark palette gives way to sandy beiges, putty tones and sun-faded hues, as seen at Zegna, Corneliani and Bottega Veneta. These colours can also be worn head to toe, as seen at Ralph Lauren Purple Label and Officine Générale – a look that feels effortless yet completely put together. This ease is reflected in soft, relaxed cuts and breathable fabrics, ideal for balmy summer days ahead.
Preppy Reimagined
“The art of appreciating classic codes while remixing them with equal parts polish and playfulness is what new preppy is all about,” writes Navaz Batliwalla in Harrods Man magazine. Jonathan Anderson’s new vision for Dior, with its skewed shirt collars, unkempt ties and tweed ‘Bar’ jackets, made big waves, but the trend was also seen at Fendi, Ami Paris, Dries Van Noten and, of course, Ralph Lauren.
