Harvested on the steepest slope of the Maximin Grünhaus castle estate, the Abtsberg Grosses Gewächs was almost 2000 years in the making. The land on which the vineyard stands has a rich history of viticulture that dates back to the Roman era – the period when its natural minerality was discovered. Nowadays, the estate is run by sixth-generation family member Maximin Von Schubert, the man who coined this bottle’s elegant and precise palette, infusing it with apricot, peach and yellow apple.
