L'Artisan Parfumeur

L’Artisan Parfumeur’s first fragrance – a banana scent – was the result of a whimsical challenge undertaken by founder Jean Laporte, whose creation was dreamed up to accompany a friend’s costume of the same fruit to a gala at Paris’ Folies Bergère. Quickly followed by grapefruit and vanilla aromas, Laporte continued to experiment with natural essences, resulting in a successful line of first fragrances. Boasting a rich, 40-year history, L’Artisan Parfumeur’s classic perfumes – joined by candles, body lotions and more – remain virtually unchanged, testament to Laporte’s confidence in alchemy and artisanal finesse. In homage to the brand’s founding philosophy, each bouquet takes you on a journey of exploration – Premier Figuier introduces you to the magnificent fig trees of the south of France, while L'Eau d'Ambre transports you to the Middle East.
