Boekenhoutskloof’s Syrah is sourced from two properties in the Swartland – Porseleinberg and Goldmine. The fruit from each site is distinctive in its characteristics,partially destemmed and fermented spontaneously in tulip-shaped concrete tanks and, once cuvaison is completed, aged for 18 months for the richest taste. The 2019 vintage is defined by notes of black cardamom, sweet tobacco and cloves, with a full-bodied palate and the perfect balance of grainy tannins and acidity.
