Domaine de la Vougeraie is a relatively new estate, creating its first vintage in 1999 after the Boisset family amalgamated several vineyards in the area. Today, the winery sits between the Pinot Noir-dominated Côte de Nuits and the Chardonnay-led Côte de Beaune, meaning the label specialises in both. For its Domaine de la Vougeraie Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 vintage, the Chardonnay grapes are softly pressed before being aged in neutral oak barrels, which help build its full-bodied, layered finish.
