In his Autumn/Winter 2024 show notes, Balenciaga creative director Demna questions the essence of luxury. His reflection on the practice is carried out through research into the Maison’s archives, as he sought to show the creative link between the brand’s founder, Cristóbal Balenciaga, and his own.
This leather jacket was designed as a reimagining of the concept of beauty, being made from the supple material and cut to a slouchy yet very much defined structure, placing an emphasis on how the body interacts with garments.
