A taste of history.

In the 20th century, nearly all of Champagne’s vines were destroyed by insects; Bollinger replanted its vineyards, except for two small plots: Chaudes Terres and Clos St-Jacques. Grown with traditional provignage methods, the grapes from these plots are today used to make Vieilles Vignes Françaises Blanc de Noir. The 2012 edition of this blend is rich yet light, with a freshness and depth that will develop with cellaring.

About Bollinger
Founded in 1829, Bollinger’s legacy is inseparable from Madame Lily Bollinger, who led the House from 1941 to 1977 and defined its powerful, refined style. With a passion for Pinot Noir and ageing in old oak barrels, Bollinger maintains rigorous control of its vineyards, cultivating 70% of its own grapes for exceptional quality.
