This piece symbolises an iconic year as the writing instrument was first launched and the first Olympic Winter Games were held in Chamonix at the foot of Montblanc. Coloured in a blue-grey tone to represent the official colour of the games that year, the Doué rollerball is finished with a platinum-coated cap engraved with the mountain landscape of the Chamonix valley.
