In 1886, William Grant set out to fulfil his lifelong vision of making ‘the best dram in the valley’. After a year of hard work and determination, Glenfiddich was born and remains one of the few single malt distilleries to be family-owned to this day. Passed down through the generations, Grant’s vision was the driving force behind the brand, while rare and skilled craftsmen worked tirelessly to create a seducing trinity of water, air and malted barley. As Glenfiddich’s popularity steadily increased, it became one of the first single malt whiskies to be promoted outside of Scotland and has received more awards since 2000 than any other single malt Scotch whisky in two of the world’s most prestigious competitions.
