Giacomo Conterno has been a widely acclaimed winemaker in the Piedmont region since the beginning of the 1900s, mastering the art of producer-bottled Barolo. Today, the vineyard focuses on vintage wines, ageing each blend for at least seven years in Slovenian oak casks. This 2018 Francia Barolo DOCG, for instance, slowly develops in the glass, with notes of bright cherry red, blood orange and sage introducing you to its density and richness.
