Roger Dubuis’ avant-garde timepieces stretch the technical boundaries of horology to its limits. Launching his eponymous brand in 1995, Dubuis disrupted the market with his distinctive designs – oversized cases, transparent backs and imposing crowns were quite the contrast to the era’s typically classic offerings. Now revered as one of the world’s best producers of architectural skeletonised movements, it is one of the few Swiss watchmakers to produce its calibres in-house, with 33 exclusive creations that boast additional functions such as flying tourbillons and sophisticated complications. The embodiment of this hallowed reputation is undoubtedly Excalibur, its most iconic model, with recent iterations co-created with motorsport giants Pirelli and Lamborghini.
