Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby’s first design project for B&B Italia, the Tobi-Ishi coffee table, was inspired by the harmonious nature of Japanese art. Just like the smooth stones used in traditional Zen gardens, the equilibrium between shapes and materials is expressed through this table’s many finish varieties and its versatile form – almost like a sculpture that changes shape depending on the point of observation.
