After a visit to Paris’ National Museum of African and Oceania Arts in 1976 and spotting a sign that forbade women from wearing heels – claiming they damaged the building’s wooden flooring – he endeavoured to manifest footwear that would break the rules and, most importantly, empower.
Please note, Christian Louboutin’s signature lacquered soles will wear out with use; this is normal wear and tear and is not considered to be a manufacturing defect. Please try these shoes on a carpeted surface, as any damage to the soles may prevent us from accepting returns.
