The Compañia Vinicola del Norte de España might have been founded in 1879, but it wasn’t until 1920 that the vineyard started producing its Imperial range. Each wine is fermented and aged in French oak vats to develop a rich, smoky flavour with charred aromas. This 2009 Gran Reserva DOC features blackberry, cassis and coffee notes to enhance its bouquet, while tea and chocolate bring an earthy, herbal element.
