It’s the delicate conditions of those 40 years, beginning in American white oak bourbon casks and finessing in aged oloroso sherry casks before being blended with spirit that has matured in Graham Port Colheita casks, that grant this variety such an indulgent flavour. Cherries, plums and toffee apple tantalise on the nose, while orange peel, chocolate truffles, Old English marmalade and walnuts delight the palate, finishing with notes of Black Forest fruits, poached pear and caramel.
