The Best Gifts for Serious Chocolate Lovers
Words by Bridie Newman and Emilie Dock
Not all chocolate gifts are created equal. To truly impress the connoisseur, whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary or Christmas, it’s time to think beyond the ordinary box.
So, what do you gift someone with a passion for chocolate? The answer lies in our Chocolate Hall, which is (ahem) choc-full of artisan creations to impress the connoisseur. Read on for a taste of our most indulgent treats – and who knows, you might even spot a few early Christmas chocolate gifts.
Mixed 24-Piece Chocolate Collection Box
Coming in at the top of the chocs in The Chocolate Hall is this crowd-pleasing chocolate collection. The assortment contains 12 different flavours: think dark chocolate raspberry, blonde espresso, biscuit butter, maple pecan caramel, pistachio and more. It makes the perfect gift to open at special occasions like Thanksgiving – with sharing encouraged, of course. Try an assortment of Harrods collection boxes and chocolate truffles, too.
Milk Chocolate Bread and Butter Slab
One of our five chocolate slabs from The Harrods Chocolaterie, this signature flavour is a fan favourite. So much so, that we sold over a tonne of it in 2024. It’s made with leftover Harrods sourdough from The Food Halls that’s blitzed, dried and fried in beurre noisette, then mixed with caramelised white chocolate and Maldon salt flakes, and sandwiched between 41% milk chocolate. A word of warning: once opened, it won’t last long.
Chocolate Strawberries and Raspberries
Surprise someone special with a box of our new snack-sized chocolate as a little pick-me-up. These vibrant boxes, inspired by the colour-coded wall in The Chocolate Hall (if you know, you know), are filled with everything from our chocolate-coated fruit and nut range, to cocoa delights like nut clusters and traditional sweets like rhubarb and custards. We recommend starting with our bestselling milk-and-white-chocolate-coated raspberries and strawberries, which are freeze-dried to preserve their crisp, sweet flavour – a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Triple Nut Topped Bar
If this chocolate sounds decadent, that’s because it is. Part of a new collection of topped and filled bars, it combines melt-in-the-mouth milk chocolate with a generous scattering of walnuts, caramelised pecans and hazelnuts. The play of textures will have you snapping off another chunk, then another, then another, until, before you know it, it has vanished. It’s just that good.
The Harrods Chocolaterie
Who needs Willy Wonka when you’ve got Harrods chocolatiers? From bonbons to stuffed slabs and topped bars, each creation is freshly crafted at The Harrods Chocolaterie using our exclusive couverture.
A firm favourite, our signature Bread & Butter Slab is made using toasted and caramelised sourdough crumbs, mixed with caramelised white chocolate. Our seasonally changing bonbons never fail to please, too. Fill a bespoke box, tailored to their taste, with the help of our in-house experts.

Charbonnel et Walker Milk-Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Thins
Sophistication in chocolate form, Charbonnel et Walker’s creations are hand-crafted to perfection from Madame Charbonnel’s over-100-year-old recipes. These wafer-thin discs of premium milk-chocolate are no exception, providing a satisfyingly snap when bitten into, then melting in the mouth to reveal flavours of sea-salted caramel. Presented in a charming gold-gilded tubular box, they are as decadent as they look.
Pierre Marcolini Petits Bonheurs 32-Piece Selection Box
There could hardly be a more fitting name for these chocolates. Translating to ‘little joys’ or ‘small pleasures’ in French, the moniker – conceived by monsieur Pierre Marcolini – captures the idea that luxury and happiness can come from something as simple as a piece of (expertly crafted) chocolate. The box holds four tempting flavours: hazelnut praline, coffee almond praline, caramel praline and hazelnut gianduja.
Neuhaus 22-Piece Icon Collection Box
You don’t always know a cocoa connoisseur’s preferences. Dark, milk or white? Nougatine, cream or ganache? This box of Irrésistibles by Belgian brand Neuhaus maximises your chances of success. With 12 flavours, it’s bound to include some favourites and may introduce them to exciting new combinations, from Arabica coffee to Japanese yuzu with mango and coriander.
Venchi 1878 Maxi Murrine Book Chocolate Gift Box
What’s not to love about a book-shaped gift box filled with artisan Italian chocolates? Inside is an assortment of flavours – each telling its own story – like the Chocoviar Arancia, a 75% dark chocolate shell filled with Sicilian blood orange, evoking coastal walks along sun-soaked Italian landscapes, or the Tiramisù, with three layers of coffee, mascarpone and dark chocolate – Venchi 1878's tribute to home-cooked family desserts.
