The Couture Blend
The pinnacle of this collaboration, The Couture Blend is where tradition and reinvention meet. Coinciding with Rousteing’s 40th birthday, Walker chose several whiskies of at least that age for the blend. Of these, 10 came from the Johnnie Walker Vault, a liquid library of rare malts. She layered ghost whiskies from Port Dundas and Caledonian with trailblazing creations from the ’80s and ’90s, like Benrinnes and Cragganmore, and contemporary blends which experiment with process and finish, including Roseisle and Teaninich. They have been masterfully balanced to create a limited release of 1,500 individually numbered bottles.
Walker elaborated, “I leaned into some of the most progressive and experimental whiskies from the past and of modern times; whiskies that push the boundaries of flavour just as Olivier pushes the boundaries in couture.” It comes in a sculptural crystal decanter inspired by Johnnie Walker’s heritage bottle silhouette, with prominent shoulders and a lavishly oversized crystal stopper that looks both futuristic and timeless.
