Louis XIII

Created by The House of Rémy Martin in 1874, LOUIS XIII cognac is known the world over as the embodiment of refinement. Generations of Cellar Masters strive to achieve the centuries-old expertise found in each individually numbered, handcrafted decanter – a blend of the most precious eaux-de-vie (French for ‘water of life’) sourced from Grande Champagne, the first cru of the Cognac region. Matured inside traditional oak casks called tierçons, the harmonious communion of flavours and aromas is so intense, they persist for over an hour on the palate in a magical evocation of myrrh, honey, dried roses, plum, honeysuckle, cigar box, leather, figs and passion fruit. For over a century, LOUIS XIII cognac has established itself as a symbol of French art de vivre and sophistication, continuing to surpass its own legacy.

The Cellar Master

Baptiste Loiseau is the youngest Cellar Master to join LOUIS XIII, mixing eaux-de-vie from his precursors' unique curation.

Thinking Ahead

Thinking a century ahead, the House is committed to preserving the Grande Champagne terroir via its practices and research.
