Maje
Maje was the name chosen by founder Judith Milgrom in 1998 for her contemporary womenswear label, upon opening her very first store in Paris’ 6ème arrondissement. Created using the initials of her family members’ names (M for Moyal, her maiden name; A for her brother, Alain; J for Judith; and E for her sister, Evelyne), Maje succeeds in striking the balance between something that is undeniably feminine yet also non-conformist. Reinventing classic pieces with a certain je ne sais quoi that is inherent to the designer's Parisian inspirations, its masculine-féminin aesthetic is distilled into deconstructed tailoring, delightful reinventions of lace and elegant bohemian prints that feel perfectly at home in the French capital's bustling streets.
