Ridge began planting Petit Sirah in 1901, with its first wine from the vines made in 1972 as part of its Lytton Springs Zinfandel. In 2009, however, it released its first Petit Sirah nationally, when the grape became a permanent addition to the winery’s offerings. The 2020 edition is a midnight purple hue, with supple tannins and a palate of juicy bramble fruit, cardamom and smoked meat, destined to be paired with rich dishes that match its bold flavour.
