Originating as a coffee table book of black and white photographs curated and shot by Francesco Ragazzi documenting architecture, landscapes and in-action portraits of the LA skate scene, Palm Angels seamlessly developed into a dynamic label spearheaded by Francesco himself. The book included a foreword written by musician and producer Pharrell Williams, quickly followed with a debut ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2015 inspired by the skater’s relaxed yet distinctive style. Marking the culmination of the designer’s Italian sartorial background and the laid-back air of LA youth culture, the coveted collections see sports-luxe tracksuits, crop tops and oversized pieces imbued with a sense of urban elegance and nostalgia – instantly recognisable thanks to the signature gothic text logo.
