The Kooples
When it comes to elegant Parisian style with a radical twist, The Kooples is something of an expert. Founded in 2008 by Alexandre, Laurent and Raphael Elichas, the luxury brand’s timeless basics like hoodies and T-shirts helped revolutionise the street-style scene, and quickly became synonymous with early-aughts style. The label’s success can be attributed to many things, but overarchingly to its fluid androgyny, represented perfectly in seasonal campaigns which showcase everything from streamlined leather jackets and tailored outerwear to jeans, jewellery and bags. Each piece is beautifully displayed on both men and women – fitting, really, as The Kooples is French slang for ‘the couples’.
